Desktop Presario with XP Home OS.

The original problem was lost Desktop Icons, no taskbar.

Things done: Did Ctrl-Alt-Del to access the explorer and get the desktop icons back.
Downloaded Malwarebytes and executed the utility, save the log and rebooted the system.
Upon reboot it goes to Welcome Screen with Administrator and Owner Button to Login.
Either one of them, when you right click with the mouse will respond under the Button "Loading your personal settings" and the screen will flash showing the wallpaer and come back to the Welcome screen with the message under the button"saving your settings". And when it's done both buttons for Administrator & Owner displays again in the Welcome screen.
The switching between "Loading & Saving: message was so quick.
One thing I've noticed was when you press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice, the Log On to Windows screen with Username/Password option shows. But either one of them will let me in, NO errors at all.
This problem happen both on Normal and Safe Mode.
Is there a way this could be fixed if this drive is attached as a 2 drive just to clean whatever is causing the failure?

Help will be greatly appreciated....thanks..

Try to do this:

Right click on desktop -> Arrange icons by -> Show desktop icons

Must be checked!
