Good day all,

I know that this is an old system but I am comfortable with it and much prefer A/B editing.
Here is what is happening. I open my source video into Premiere 6 and start editing. Every thing is fine. After opening the programme about half a dozen times and doing some editing I get the dreaded "...has to close...". Sometimes rebooting my computer cures this problem for a bit but then the problem starts again and I have to reinstall Premiere and start all over again. I have found that if I twirl down the Audio on track one before importing anything it will last longer between crashes.
Using XP HOme with SP3, AMD Athlon 3200+, I GB Ram.
I have Premiere Pro 2 but can not get on with it.
Anyone else come across this problem?
All help appreciated.
George.
