So, ya, the other day, my dns client service crashed. Well, actually, the whole svchost.exe had a critical error and closed. Since then, my dns client service hasn't reinitialized (even though I've restarted a few times) but here I am, posting this post. I was always under the impression that your dns client was rather necessary for that whole internet thing to work right.

Oh, and my subnet mask is 255.255.240.0, which I could've sworn was supposed to be 255.255.255.0 *shrug*

I think I need a new computer. XD

So, ya, does this make sense to anyone else?

Oh, and just for the record, I have a post in the malware forum that's waiting for a response, so I don't intend to change any settings or whatnot from any responses to this thread, I was just hoping for a bit of insight while I'm waiting.

Something has messed up your network settings. Get the malware issues taken care of first, then PM a Mod to have this reopened if the problems persist.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
