Hi all,

I have no idea of the correct terminology for anything so i'll explain the best i can and hope you understand me.

My sound has stopped working. I do not use speakers but i do use headphones. I have sound on things like Skype, Warcraft but nothing else. Any sounds from the net do not play (you tube etc) and itunes says: Itunes has detected a problem with your audio configeration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly. Windows media player says There is no audio hardware available or it may not responding.
I think i have realtek high def audio.

What can it be and how do i fix it

Thanks in advance for any advice

Using this BC Tutorial for guidance try updating your audio drivers.

If no update is availble, uninstall the drivers and reboot your computer, this will reinstall the drivers to a working set.

It sounds like something may be corrupt somewhere along the line as you are recieving sound in a couple of things but having errors with others.
