Hello,

Starting today, many of my google searches have been taken over by the "clickfraudmanager" virus..

I've ran Mcafee virus scan and Ad-aware but the virus still seems to be in action. Then I ran SuperAntiSpyware and that got rid of some items, but I'm not sure if it got rid of the particular virus and/or still infected with other viruses.

Is there a way where I can check if there are any other viruses on my computer?

Thanks!!

Here is my HijackThis log:

Hi there,

Please download GooredFix and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double-click GooredFix.exe on your Desktop to run it.
  • Select "2. Fix Goored" by typing 2 and pressing Enter.
  • Make sure all instances of Firefox are closed at this point.
  • Type y at the prompt and press Enter again.
  • A log will open, please post the contents of that log in your next reply (it can also be found on your desktop, called GooredLog.txt).
Note: If you receive a message saying that GooredFix needs your system to be restarted, please close all applications and reboot your system. Please also allow any registry changes that may be prompted by any of your security programs.

Thanks.

Yep, seems like it. Thank you so much!

Is there any way to check whether there are other types of infections on my computer?

Well, your HJT log looks pretty good.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a good general scanner if you want a second opinion, and if you want me to have a deeper look then give DDS a run and post its logs and I will have a look.

Cheers.

Thanks!

I know this is out of the realm of malware.. but is there a section of the forums that deals with computer speeds? My computer takes forever to start up and I was wondering if there anything I could do to fix that.. (it used to start up in about 10 seconds when I first got it!)

First, take a look at these guides on slow 'puters:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/87058/slow-computerbrowser-check-here-first;-it-may-not-be-malware/
http://www.malwareremoval.com/tutorials/runningslowly.php
(They will probably have a lot of the same content)

If you're still slow after that, then I guess the best place to post about it here would be the Microsoft Windows XP forum.

Hope that helps.
