Hello Bleeping Computer,
I have a machine that BSOD's every now and again, I thought I'd cracked the problem but it returned.

The machine is a house server and used for downloading and sharing films and music across a private network, generally it only goes to BSOD when a file is being transfered, either from drive to drive or computer to computer.

I've swaped the RAM for known good RAM and scanfixed the OS hard drive. This allievated the problem for a while, but it's since returned.

The BSOD gave this message:

RQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0X0000000A (0X00000004,0X00000002,0X00000000,0X804E661F

When restarted, this is the message from the event viewer:

Source: System Error
Category: (102)
Type: Error
Event ID: 1003

Error code 1000000a, parameter1 00000004, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804e661f.

If anyone can help I'd be more than grateful and happy to buy a virtual beer if ever there was one.
Thanking anyone in advance.

Check your devices in Device Manager (Start > Run > type "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter). Look for any "!", "?" or "X" symbols.

If nothing shows up there I would try running some hardware diagnostic tests.

Run Memtest86 to test your memory.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your hard drive and download their diagnostic test to test your drive.

You could try this process to analyze the memory dump file: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/176011/how-to-receive-help-diagnosing-blue-screens-and-windows-crashes/
Post the results here and we'll have a look at them to see if it reveals anything significant.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
