Howdy,

When I go to a web site such as Bleeping Computer ,my computer screen is normal. If I click on a link that someone has posted, the page will open but will only be about 6 inches wide. I think I accidently clicked on a setting that caused this. I cannot figure it out.

Here is a screen shot. It shows the screen I got after I clicked a link in the post.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Try this :
Open an IE window then open another
Close the first and drag the open window boundaries to fit the screen.
Close the window while holding down the shift key.

Now open 2 new windows and see.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Sorry but I am not following you.

This is what I tried after reading your reply. I went to a post that had a link in it. I clicked on the link and got the partial screen. I then clicked on the red X (of the original window) and a window popped up asking me if I wanted to close all tabs.

It worked ! All is good !

Thanks for your help.

What do you think I did that caused the problem in the first place ? I think I was playing around with page zoom etc; when it happened.

Thanks Again,

Dennis :flowers:

@boopme: this is really cool tip. it might be a good idea if you would paste it in the forum called TIP and TRICKS. Do you thing this method holds for any windows? e.g. ms outlook?

finally, what I did is the following:

open internet explorer,
drag the window to the size I like,
press shift and close

then the window will automatically adjust. I did not need to open two windows etc. like you suggested.
