I have a new BENQ DW 1620 that I have installed in my system _1300 mhz 768MB 80 G drive running XP Sp1 . Every so often the drive would stop working and freeze. If I check in device manager it identifies the drive correctly but when the computer is being boot up the screen shows the drive as gribbrish . I would then take the cable off , reboot go into the BIOS and detect the drive again. The drive is on the master on the sec IDE channel. I have changed cables and the channel to eliminate but after a while it occurs again. Any suggestions welcomed
