Hello BC. I am having trouble booting up my computer. When I would restart, it would say, "Grub loading..Error 21." Leaving me stuck at that place. Thing is, when my external hard drive is connected, somehow it would start up and give me the options of Windows Professional, Windows XP Home etc. Since I run on XP Home Edition, after i click it i would usually get the option of Windows XP or Windows Recovery but that option isn't given anymore and it just starts upw ith the Windows XP boot screen and continues to start up.
I have been doing a lot of reading including> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-install-the-windows-xp-recovery-console/
But since I don't have the CD, I cant access recovery mode and I don't have the option to select it.( Which before I did have.)
I am sure the problem lies with
Invalid Partition Table
Missing Operating System
Error Loading Operating System
- Disk Diagnostic
- CHKDSK /F /R
- fixmbr (try to boot)"
Also, I have Ubunto on my startup list and I am planning to remove that. Before I installed Ubunto I did not have a selection list, my computer would always start up as Home Edition. Hope I made it as clear as possible.
Error 21. I have Recovery Mode but cant access it at start up. Also the External Hard-drive issue. Cant say I know why it only starts up if its on. Help is appreciated.
