Hi,

I posted this thread originally in the malware section but have been told to put my question to you guys.

I am getting a lot of errors in Vista Event Viewer which I suspect are causing my BSOD's and screen freezes.

My laptop system specs:

Sony Vaio
*Windows Vista 32 Bit running SP1
*Dual Core 2GHz
*4GB RAM (know 32bit only utilises 3GB)
*1 TB external HDD
*Kaspersky AV 2009

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
BtHidBus

EVENT ID:7072

and

Volmgr
Crash dump initialization failed!

EVENT ID: 46

I think the volmgr problem is causing a lot of the blue screens I am experiencing. I also experience the screen just freezing thus having to manually force a shutdown.

BtHidBus usually refers to a BlueTooth device - most often referring to the drivers installed on your system.
I'd suggest uninstalling your BlueTooth software, then download a fresh copy from the manfucturer's website and install that.
Test to see if it fixes the problem - if not, post back and we'll try more stuff.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
