Sound problem

Hi. Our sound worked yesterday. Today it does not. I accidently deleted soundmax from add/remove programs, and we installed a new hardware for JVC video camera but that was all that was done before the sound went.
In device manager it says"no audio is detected" in system tool/system info/components/sounds/ there is NOTHING.
But all devices check normally. Speakers are fine. HELP! I dont know what to do...we need sounds!Thanks.Hereis the info of the PC if this helps:
FWIW there are no virus' that i know of..did a scan/combo fix.

Download the Audio driver, install it, & see if your sound works .
