Was trying to install verizon DSL for a friend on their HP PC, and it kept failing. Went to device manager and saw the above device had the dreaded yellow check mark, I'm an IT consultant, so tried to update drivers every which way, to no avail. Somehow,I think this may be part of the problem with the installation. In any event it shouldn't be there. (the yellow check). Ran antimalwaremalwarebytes, and the scan was clean. Any ideas?

I can't see any reason to even have that unless it's something Verizon has so they can access the computer to help troubleshoot
I's for a secure VPN

I'd think I'd be calling Verizon
