yeah i have the same problem, it's because you've installed spybot search and destroy and it's mistaken wild tangent as spyware and removed it. however, some registry keys still connected to it exist. I'll go fix mine now and tell you how to do it when Im done.

# Open the registry editor (Click Start > Run, type regedit). Locate the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
In the right pane, find and delete the following entries ( if they exists):

wcmdmgr
wt gamechannel
ddcm

Close registry editor.
# Restart your computer.
# Open your Window directory ( for example: c:\windows), then open the wt foler, delete all the files in it.

Wild Tangent is spyware, although not the nasty, malevolent, viscious and malicious kind we see most often. It is spyware simply because it reports your gaming habits and statistics "home".

Aol, and other providers of games install this software in their bundles.

If you need Wild Tanget to play games, and want to keep it, set Spybot to ignore it.
Open Spybot.
At the top, click Mode, and select Advanced Mode
On the left, select Settings.
Select Ignore products.
Under the All products tab, scroll down to Wild Tangent, and put a check in the box next to it.

Remove Wild Tangent with "add and remove programs" in the control panel.

Download, install, update and run the following:

Anti-malware freeware (You can run as many of these as you wish. Generally there is no conflict between these and you should always run several)

AdAware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
Microsoft Antispyware Beta: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/s...re/default.mspx
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
Spybot S&D: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (Win XP and Win 2000):

CWShredder from InterMute
CW Shredder removes some variants of spyware known as the Coolwebsearch Trojan. The Trojan takes advantage of a flaw in a key component of Windows -- Microsoft's version of the Java Virtual Machine -- to install itself via popups often found on porn and illegal software (a.k.a. "warez") sites. Run CWShredder after installing, and have it look for updates. Then click the "Fix" button, and the program will both scan and fix any problems it finds. If your system does not have this kind of spyware, it will give you the good news.
Cost: Free

Reboot and use "safe mode" to run the above.
