I hope someone can help me with this problem as it is driving me nuts. After a re install i encounterd loads of problems due to Windows Live OneCare not completely deleting before i downloaded Avast. Loads of repair work later i thought it was all sorted until i went to burn some music in media player. Its telling me to connect a burner and have checked the drivers which seem to be okay, At the same time when i try to see the music files on my mp3 it tells me to go to the control panel to install and configure the system components. I have checked all over microsoft and everywhere i can to find a solution but no go. System is Intel® Celeron® CPU2.66Ghz 448MB ram and am running Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 service pack 3. I really would be gratefull for any suggestions anyone can give me. Many thanks for reading.

Have you tried deleting the upper and lower filter keys?

I found a link on another site that did this for me as i was worried about deleting them myself although i did go through to see where these filters were and at that time there was only the lower filter. I dont know if it means anything but i now have an info box popping up every now and again saying C\progfiles\common files\parentol\uus2\uus.dll. Would i be better trying a complete re install and would that reconnect the burner etc or would that be pointless? Thanks fro answering the query.

C\progfiles\common files\parentol\uus2\uus.dll.

Do you have any A-V or malware software by parentol?
