I use avs4you it is a pay site (not freeware) but they offer many different programs all for one price. I have good success with the programs i've used.

I use winavi too, and just like mazroy said, you'll get good results.

Depending on what files you're using, (I use AVI, or MPEG-2) Try DVDStyler. It'll create menu's, and sub-menu's with titles & chapters, It allows you to use text instead of those cheesy frames and buttons you get with Nero, and Mydvd. It's donation-ware, and well worth it. It'll burn duel layer, or create an ISO image to your HD. Or burn straight to a DVD. You can use motion menu's of your own design, or still pictures for the menu's. And it works great. Very stable.

I think anyone that has used it will agree that if your going to make your own DVD's, DVDstyler is a must have.
