I have run AVG, Spybot search and Destroy, ADaware , EWidio,(sp?) Microsofts spyware beta, you name it and I still have 3 issues. On boot up I get Generic Host Process error on svchost.exe.mdnp rln.exe keeps trying to run and I have it disabled, but the tools keep pop up telling me it's trying to start up. and I also have neededware showing up. Party poker anyone? Any suggestions? I know I need to upgrade to SP2, but for some reason the auto update won't work, so I have ordered it on CD from Microsoft. Thanks

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

O2 - BHO: WinStat - {F007E221-018D-4baf-924A-B0E9092F3853} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\WinStat11.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [rln] C:\WINDOWS\System32\rln.exe

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\System32\WinStat11.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\rln.exe

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.
