Alright another question. I have an saphire ATI 3870 x2 video card for my computer, and ATI defaults only run the fain at 25%. now at idle this beast runs at 60c and up to 80-90C under load. If I turn the fan up to 55% it drops it down to 40c idle and 60-70c under load which is much more agreeable in my opinion. Under windows, I use Rivatuner to control the fan, but I have been unable to find software that I can use to control the fan under ubuntu. Does anyone know of any software I can use to control the fan with? Im runnung ubuntu 8.10 on an AMD athlon 64 x2 6000+ CPU. thanks.

I can not vouch for this, I don't use Ubuntu or ATI.
I merely provide this link. Hope it helps.
