I tried connecting an external Lacie DVD burner to my PC.
I had jsut installed a new mobo (Asus p5Q pro).
All the bits are in the right holes but when attach the burner it goes online to find the driver for it and fails to download it?
I trid a bit of updater software from lacie - This recognises somethinh but again fails to update the device. It is quite old, its an NEC drive in the recognisable matt silver caddy.

Any idea's
