How much processing power is needed to flawlessly convert mp3 files to aac? I've been getting bluescreens with my comp while using MediaMonkey's codec (trial). Does converting generate a lot of heat on the mobo or somewhere?

My stats:
Pentium 4 1.7GHz
256 MB RAM
