Okay so I am a high security pc user not a typical normal end user.

I am getting beep.sys errors all over and AVG is triggering infected beep.sys files over and over (however when you try to heal or move to vault it says file does not exist). I have followed a few tutorials bringing me through command prompt deletion and safe mode operations. I also am dual booting with ubuntu 8.1 and have deleted beep.sys through that aswell.

The computer I am running is a Dell e1505 laptop.

I am constantlly getting AVG popups as well as a nice pop-up Insert your Windows XP Home edition CD. I had to uninstall SP3 inorder to use the disk and Dell's POS operating recovery utility is useless. I can still run the computer and occasionally have freezes but hate closing popups non stop from useful applications.

If anyone knows anything I am providing my HACK This Log for some help.
