NOTE: Firefox works...

When I try to connect to the web in IE7 I get the following message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and when I try updating software on my pc I am unable to establish a connection also, BUT FIREFOX DOES WORK- Strange... Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
