I am going to make a program that uses the SMTP protocol of the .net framework, to send text messages to a phone, when an upcoming appointment, or anything else on the outlook 2007 calendar is approaching...all I need to know is how to import information on appointments, basically have the vb app read what time an appointment is, and then I can use code that I have in another program to read the system real time clock....then, when I enter a notification period, if the program detects that the appointment is within that period, it will send a text message to the designated number...

any help is greatly appreciated...
