hey. does anyone know of any custom firmware that i can use for my linksys wrt160n router? im looking to add some more advanced features to my router, such as controlling how much bandwidth is given to a lan in a 24 hour period.. etc.

You can try OpenWRT. Your model is listed as being supported.
