After clicking on what is now apparent to have been a false windows update screen I can't access my desktop.
My laptop is part of a domain, though I use the laptop outside of the office 98% of the time. After I enter in my username and password I can see my desktop wallpaper for a few seconds but then it returns to the Welcome Winodws CTRL+ALT+DEL screen each time.
When I try to access Safe Mode the same thing happens.

Any suggestions on how I can get back to my desktop would be appreciated.
