cant install AVG

Hello all,

I am having trouble installing AVG 8.0 I attached the error message I keep receiving. Can anybody help?





Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avgtdix.sys: starting service....
Error 0x80070014

BC AdBot (Login to Remove)

Hi,

Do you by chance have Ad-Aware installed?

If so, completely remove this from your system (disabling it won't work), try installing AVG, if successful you can then reinstall Ad-Aware.

Yes I do have Ad-aware installed. I will try removing it and see what happens.

Emu,

That did it! I uninstalled ad aware and tryed installin AVG and it worked! Thank you. Now reinstalling adaware will not cause any problems?? how about spybot?

Good to hear.

Reinstalling Ad-Aware should be fine, and I've not heard about any problems Spybot.
