I just installed the NEC 3520 dvd burner. i purchased it OEM and installed it in my dell dimension. Since it came with no software what is the best software to use? (either free or not) Im really looking forward to burning all my roomates Curb dvds. Thanks for the advice!

I was told I need a dvd decrypter, dvd shrinker and a copier...is that true?

Yes you will need a program to decrypt the dvd and unless you are using dual layer disks another program to compress it and then software to burn this to disk.

Doom9 has links to some programs that may well help http://www.doom9.org/

Dvdshrink http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html

Dvddecrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.com/

Dvdshrink will burn to disk if you have nero installed dvddecrypter does not need any other software if you use the write ISO mode

Cdburner xp Pro is freeware burning software which supports writing to dvd's http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
