UPON INSTALLING A CHILDRENS GAME . MY COMPUTER SHUT DOWN. WHEN IT CAME BACK UP IT WOULD NOT READ ANY DISKS. THE DEVICE MANAGER SAYS THAT IT IS WORKING PROPERLY AND IT SAYS THAT THE DRIVER IS FINE. WHEN I CHECKED PROPERTIES FOR THE E DRIVE IT HAS..... USED SPACE AS 0% AND FREE SPACE AS 0%. ALSO IT IS CALLING IT THE CDROM DRIVE AND I AM NOT SURE IF THAT IS WHAT IT WAS CALLED BEFORE. ON THE LOADING TRAY IT IS MARKED AS DVD ROM. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU

What are your system details?
What was the game? (name, version number & producer)
Are you sure that was the only change made when the DVD drive became inaccessible?

Soltek QBIC, Pentium 4 3.0GHz, 512MB RAM, 200GB SATA HDD, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB, Netgear 54Mb/s WAP, ridiculously expensive Satellite Broadband
Windows XP Home SP2, Trend Micro Internet Security, Firefox, Thunderbird, AdAwareSE, Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, A-squared Free, Ewido Security Suite.

MY SYSTEM IS WINDOWS 98. THE COMPUTER ITSELF IS A MICRON. THE GAME IS.THE GAME IS "DIG DUG DEEPER" MADE BY INFOGRAMES #O4-22663CD. I BELIEVE THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT I DID. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING THIS GAME UP WHEN THE DRIVE STOPPED. WHEN I WENT TO THE PIONEER ATAPI SITE IT SAID THAT I DID NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEIR DRIVER BECAUSE OF SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DOS PROGRAM NOT BEING OK WITH WINDOWS 95 AND ABOVE.
