I have a bunch of weird things happening on my computer. When I ran hyjack this, I see searchassistang and customizedsearch which I know are spyware. There are also (missing file)'s which I believe means there is a problem that has to be fixed.

In addition to this (and I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about it or not - if not please direct me to which forum I should post this in), I have a file on my desktop that has been there for months that I cannot get rid of. It originally was an episode of Party of Five that I downloaded, something got stopped in the middle of downloading that particular episode and the file didn't work. I tried deleting it and it will not delete. I tried renaming it, I can rename it, but I still can't delete it or move it off my desktop. When I try to delete/move it the typical window will open saying it is deleting it, but it will just freeze at calculating time and eventually lock up.

Another problem I am having, again, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I have a cd with adobe photoshop on it. I have loaded this onto several computers over the years with no problem. I recently upgraded to a newer version, but realized I liked the old one better and removed the new version and tried to install the old one. When I open the folder for the cd, I can see all the files and they all seem normal. I click on the setup file and the little blue circle goes around for a few seconds then stops and nothing opens.

I'm running vista on my computer and have nothing but hassle with windows explorer locking up (not responding) on a regular basis, as well mediaplayer has never worked properly and will rarely play movie files properly.

I'm not sure if this information I am giving you is useful or pointless but I thought it would be better to give it just in case it is relevent to something that you might see in my log.

Anyway, here is my log files from running the software I was asked to run:

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
