Win Xp
Sp3

The icon for IE8 is not working nor is it listed in the start menu. I tried redownloading and a reinstall.Still no joy. However I then downloaded IE7 , and tried to install that.An error message came on saying that IE7 could not be installed because there was a newer version already on my computer....!!!
So why can I not find it....?????

Any help please

scouse6,

Try opening your Control Panel and go to "Add/Remove Programs". IE8 should be listed in there and you can uninstall it to revert back to IE7.

Good luck!

I used add/remove windows components,
and ticked the internet explorer bar.And I was back in business.

Thanks for your help.
