I'm selling my old laptop for parts. It no longer works. I've removed the harddrive. Is there anything else I should do to remove my info before disposing of it?

I've removed the harddrive. Is that all I should do?

Your HD is the only piece of hardware that holds any identifiable information.
You can save it to upload to another system, beat it to little pieces with a hammer or toast it on an open fire.....he he he

The rest of the unit you can do with as you please - donate, scrap, sell.....

Thanks, everyone. One more question: any idea how to set an asking price?

Depends on your area and market prices for such.

I would not expect much.
