MY System.
Windows XP +SP2
P4 2.4Ghz
1GB DDR333 RAM
ASUS P4S8X-X Motherboard (integrated sound)

After reinstalling XP I have no audio.
I have tried installing the sound drivers from CD, and also from the ASUS website.
There are no ! or ? on Device Manager and yet still no audio device, or other sound device appears.

Can anyone help?

From the driver install from the Asus website I have (in Device Manager under sound video and game controllers) listed

SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio

However there is still no audio device registered.
