We have the blue screen error. Says "stop c000021a (Fatal System Error) The windows logon process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down."

This happens starting up with or without safe mode, i also can not get it to start with the windows promt.

I got to the area to do an express test and am now sitting at an erre there

error code: 0f00:136c msg: IDE device failed: Blank media or no media is present in optical drive. Test requires media with digital data (Resource CD, Installation CD)

This computer is a dell and I can not get any support from them.

Any suggestions?
Is it a virus or hard drive problem?
Thank for any help.

I am trying to start my Dell desktop and everytime I get and error that says

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated usexpectidly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000000 ox00000000).
The system has been shut down.

I tried to promt to the c drive so that I could try a restore but it will not let me start it any way.

Any ideas? The hard drive appears to be fine.

Thanks

This is a pretty generic error. It could be malware, but maybe not.
Can you boot into Safemode?
Boot to the safe mode command prompt and type in...
RSTRUI
Then use the system restore pointt when it worked.
When booting to Safemode, you can also select Boot to last known good configuration
If you use Norton's GoBack:

Finally, as I said before it could be malware. Try a few scans to see if it isand that will determine which way to proceed:
-----------------------------------------------

Be advised that some of these scanners will pickup things in "quarantine" from other anti-virus programs - so review the results carefully

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

No I can not start in safe mode. No matter how I start I seem to get that screen.

Any other way to get the c prompt?

You cannot get to Safemode w/ command prompt?
Try booting to this:
Avira AntiVir Rescue System
