Running Windows xp home edition with internet explorer 6 and/or 7. Open AOL 9.0 software (which uses Internet Explorer) and, for no apparent reason, Internet Explorer pages open endlessly. The pages cannot be viewed, they simply appear in the task bar. The only way to stop the endless opening of pages is to force crash the system. Cannot perform any other operation while this problem is occurring.

Maybe you could try reinstalling the AOL software.
