Hi all,

I've got a particularly persistent Virtumonde infection on my PC. I used to be getting irritating pop-ups, not to mention concern about all the other behind-the-scene trouble it causes, and my anti-virus would periodically be giving me notices saying that it had blocked it and a few other viruses. The main piece of anti-virus software that I run on my machines is Shaw Secure, powered by F-Secure. The persistent piece of malware that it catches is Trojan.Win32.Monder.xxxx (the file extension changes periodically). To date I've tried using the F-Secure Virtumonde removal tool, the Vundo Fix and Virtumondebegone as described on this site, and have also ran MBAM with results, but nothing has completely solved the problem, at least that's how it seems. Today I got a message from Shaw Secure that it blocked Trojan.Win32.Monder.xxxx again, and a second MBAM scan showed nothing. Also, I run the SS firewall as a matter of course, and have a second computer at home which means that I can take this one offline if it will help.

Sorry to be a bother, thanks for your help, DDS to follow,

Dan
