Hey, im hoping someone could help me. I'm very confused right now. I don't know too much about computers.

I have two computers, both Windows XP. They both share the same internet connection, but one of the computers suddenly has no connection.
It's also going incredibly slowly whenever i try to open up Mozilla or Internet Explorer, restart, or shut down my computer. I scanned for viruses
using both AVG and Spybot, but there's nothing. Everything is connected properly, yet there's no connection.

Before the computer became like this, i had downloaded the Comodo firewall, but i ended up uninstalling it. I had to delete it several times to get rid
of it. Then it started lagging like crazy. Afterwards, the internet wouldn't work. It's not a virus since i downloaded it from the link in this site.

If you have no Internet connectivity...why would you expect a browser to work properly?

Have you checked Device Manager for indications of problems with the hardware?

Have you tried removing the NIC drivers...and then reinstalling same?

Have you checked Event Viewer for possible clues as to why you have connectivity problems?

FWIW: I also had problems with the Comodo firewall/AV combo when I used it for a test period several months ago. I don't know what everyone else does...but when I remove a program like that, I also do a search of both the registry and all files for any related Comodo (or whatever) files which may have been left behind by the uninstall effort.
