Hi, I need some help with my Laptop. For some reason, my charger works for another computer, but it won't work for mine. However, other chargers work for my laptop. It is a Dell Inspiron e1405, and Dell support refuses to give me help because it is out of warranty. Maybe someone can help me here.

If it was only one or the other, I'd say it was the power jack soldered to the system board where the power module plugs into. Does the connection feel the same whether you plug in yours or the other? ie. plug nice and tight?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Well, the thing is that it finds the charger, but says that it isn't a 65 volt charger, but it clearly is. I'd switch with my friend's charger, but her's was recalled due to overheating, and she never sent it in. Anyway, it does plug exactly the same, but it still keeps getting the error. I've tried restoring to factory settings, but that did nothing.
