Recently my laptop got infected by Trojan Vundo.
Initially I tried to install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but due to the presence of Prunnet.exe, it failed to install.
I disabled Prunnet.exe and other associated dll/dat and installed MBAM successfully.

I have run the Quick and Full Scan successfully with MBAM and cleaned up the system [see logs below].
However, the following registry entries keep coming back every time I restart the laptop and I have to clean them everytime.

Registry Data Items Infected:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit (Trojan.Agent) -> Data: c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit (Trojan.Agent) -> Data: system32\userinit.exe -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

I have done "Shutdown/Start", "Logoff/Logon" and "Restart".
Any guidance will be much appreciated.

You have several entries showing that suggest you did not actually directly reboot and rerun the scan for the clean up to continue ?

Did you try that ?

You may wish to fully update the program, reboot and rerun the program,rebooting as necessary to enable the program to complete its treatment and see the results after that scan ?

Closing this topic thread.

I managed to get rid of the entry. All I did is to manually remove the entry from registry using REGEDIT tool, ran the full scan to ensure it was clean. Took a system restore point, shutdown the system.

Thanks for the help!
