First off I enjoy your site & was referred to this site for knowledge and fixes on my two Pc's.

I have a XP machine & a Vista.

I recently down loaded the Ad-Aware & SpyBot for my XP that was choked down (still need to tweak it) & I am looking for the same two down loads for my Vista. I did a search but must have missed it.

Can anyone supply these two down load sites?

Thanks,
Jim

That would be my recommendation.

It's really a matter of opinion, but it's probably better to not have Spybot anymore. The thing about Spybot is that its Teatimer is a serious system hog from my understanding of what I hear (I haven't really experienced that myself, but then again, I wouldn't know the difference much unless there's a dramatical change in system performance). Also, from my understanding, it's not being recommended (along with Ad-Aware) due to its poor detection rates.

mvps.org is no longer recommending Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware due to poor testing results. See here - (scroll down and read under Freeware Antispyware Products)

Further, most people don't understand Spybot's TeaTimer or how to use it and that feature can cause more problems than it's worth.
