My machine keeps going back to post. I've went to BIOS and changed my boot to CD/DVD. When I put in the restore disk
it still goes back to post. Any Ideas?

Hi .

If it reboots after POST, how did you get into the BIOS?

At what exact point does it reboot?

Error messages?

Can you go into safe mode?

Have you tried last known good configuration?

Can you Disable Auto Reboot On System Crash - http://www.theeldergeek.com/auto_reboot_on_system_crash.htm

Why are you trying to restore/recover the XP install?
