I am working on a friend's computer - they were getting a "Windows cannot find "null". Make sure you typed...." error when clicking on links in IE. I have resolved that issue but am concerned about what caused the problem. There were some strange things on the pc; in addition to the C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer folder there was a C:\Program Files\Internet Folder folder. IE would not start from the iexplore.exe in the IE folder, but it would start from the iexplore.exe in the Internet Folder. IE is working fine now, but I want to make sure there is no malware on the pc. Before IE was working again, I did run MalwareBytes, AdAware and the eset online scanner. Nothing significant was found by MalwareBytes or AdAware and the eset scan was clean. Could you please check the DDS files and let me know if there is something that needs to be done? Thanks!
