Hi,

While catching up on missed episodes off fox.com's website, I noticed a strange tool bar that appeared half-way through that said, " Hello World". It was followed by a 6 digit number that increased beside a few buttons that looked like play and stop. It was not apart of the normal media player. I thought it could be a virus.

I thought it might have something to do with me syncing my ipod to my computer for the first time today. After syncing it, I noticed the phone changed to a weird date and time. I thought it could possible be a virus uploaded from the iphone since it all happened the same day.

Kaspersky says I'm fine. On my windows event log, an error occured: <C:\Users\[Name]\APPDATA\ROAMING\APPLE COMPUTER\SYNCSERVICES\LOCAL\CONFLICTS\LOCK> in the hash map cannot be updated.

I haven't noticed any other things weird with my computer. I guess if this is dangerous, I'd like to fix it before it does harm.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Peyton

When doing a Google search for what you encountered, you will find numerous results.

It appears to be related to some type of customized toolbar as described here. Could be something the website put together for those viewing episodes on demand but I'm not sure as I have never seen it before.
