using windows vista premium for near two years now, and for some unknown reason my D and E drives (dvd player and dvd burner)
have suddenly disappeared from the computer. can't play a cd or anything from either one. newest software intsalled has been
napster.ca for music file stuff. done the usual re-boot but nothing changed. sorry i am not much for troubleshooting but at least
i know when i am in trouble...like now. also just did security scan and nothing.

Does the drive show up in My Computer? If not you need to delete the upper and lower filters:
