I have an aspire 9410z . Ican't get the laptop to recognize the burner. It is a tsstcorp cd/dvdw l632d.
It shows that there is a driver problem, but when I check windows for a new driver, it says that the drive is up to date. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the system says that it cant find the appropriate driver. Can anyone give me ideas?

Does the drive show up in My Computer? If not you need to delete the upper and lower filters:

The upper and lower filters referred to in the article that garmanma cited.
