computer shuts down

I just recently installed new ram into my computer. Now when I get into the internet the computer shuts down and restarts. Please help.

To eliminate the possibility of bad or incompatible RAM, try putting the old stuff back in and see if the problem persists

I changed the memory card back and the internet still opens and immediately closes. Could it be a virus that is causing this?
