 From the start menu one can find the Search function. It appears XP has been saving all the entrys in the search criteria that have been entered. I now along list. I would like to delete this saved list.

How can one delete the "saved list" from the search criteria boxes of XP?
How can one turn this unrequested feature off?

Hi jrbrown and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

To clear the Search cache one will need to edit the XP Registry.
If you are comfortable doing such, this link will provide details
on how to accomplish the edit.
Clear Windows XP's Search Companion cache

Then see this item on Turn Off the Indexing Service Tweak#6.

The only easy day was yesterday.
