I have a home PC w/XP professional.

I have a tool bar on the bottom of the display that displays the typical
items (AV, network, firewall, etc), When I am working with an application,
i.e., IE and I minimize it, it does not show up on the bottom toolbar.

I am able to use ALT-Tab to locate the minimized applications, they
simply do not display as icons on the tool bar when minimized.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try the fix at Kelly's Korner.

Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar - #240 on the left.

Right click on it and save the .vbs file to your desktop. Then, double click on the file icon (on your desktop) to run the script. You may need to reboot your computer for the changes to take affect.

With any fix like this you should create a new restore point and backup the registry first. For backing up the registry I like to use ERUNT.
