Posts split from someone else's log. Snowwolf, please do not post your logs or any other information into someone else's log. It is against the rules of the board and you will not get an answer by doing so.

Hi Oldtimer,

I have the same problem, and so I will follow the directions you gave to mcorrell. However, there is one slight variation to my problem. I have Zone Alarm. Zone Alarm catches this program and allows me to remove it from the programs listed that are running. However, it keeps coming back which is what warned me that I had been infected.

Two interesting points to note: 1) I just scanned the computer with Norton last nite. If there was an infection why didn't Norton pick it up; and 2) what and where does this infection come from?

Nice to know someone with some expertise is around and available to help without charging an arm and a leg.

I can see some programs in the "trusted programs" zone that I wonder why they are there, since I would not have put them there, or wanted them there. Anyway she (or he) is yours now for inspecting.

Thanks for your help on this,

Welcome to the bleeping computer forum.

Rerun HJT,and put a tick beside these :-

now close all windows and browsers and click FIX CHECKED

Could you please download DelDomains.zip and unzip it to your desktop.

Right click the DelDomains.inf file inside and click Install, making sure Internet Explorer is closed. You won't see anything happen. Give it a minute to do it's stuff,

Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE/Spyads, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE/Spyads, run the batch file and reinstall the protection.

Then boot up in SAFE MODE

Then navigate to and delete these files\folders in BOLD

C:\WINDOWS\stubinstaller4292.exe
C:\WINDOWS\seeve.exe

then reboot and post a fresh Hijackthis log.
