Hey guys, here's the story- I was playing a game earlier and when i opened it, the virus blocker came up and said blahblahTrojanblah and I had the choice of denying access, deleting, allowing, all that- I denied access, the game ran fine. Later, just a few minutes ago, it did it again upon opening the game, so I clicked 'delete' so it wouldn't keep trying to open with my game. Now, immediately after I did that, no sound- the games sound doesnt work, iTunes won't even play songs (as in the time doesn't even tick, not just no sound), I tried youtube, everything.

Any clue as to what could be wrong or how to fix it? thanks so much for anyone who has some ideas

EDIT: One other thing, youtube vids will only play 2 seconds at a time now- I'd assume this is related to the other issue since it started at the same time but can't say for certain.

What do you mean by "The Virus Blocker" ??

Are you talking about an actual antivirus software:
http://www.untangle.com/Virus-Blocker

or there is a high chance that if it was called "Virus Blocker" and it was not this official software, then it is a roge antivirus aka smitfraud or aka your computer is infected.

Check out this thread:

read carefully.

Sorry, 'the virus blocker' is Avira, I wasn't very specific at all I know. Here's what it says when it warns me of the trojan, and what I hit delete on instead of deny access once. "C:\System Volume Information\...\A078120.ddl Is the TR/Agent.RL Trojan". I hit delete instead of deny access on this once, now, no sound.

Well if Avira is catching stuff then there is a very high chance that there is stuff that it is missing.

Update and run complete scans with Malwarebytes AntiMalware, technically you should disable the Avira AutoProtect before running scans, and I would highly suggest it. However that is up to you.

Be sure to still read up and make the proper posts to get help from the experts:

I'm running malwarebytes right now, then i'm gonna restart and see if my sound and video is back. I'll post an update after that. Thanks!
