Have read other posts on this issue. Went to Adobe site...tech note 14157.
It seems like it should be a simple process..however-
When I try to download (windows option) I get a a box with a "save" only button-no choice on saving to desk top as the Adobe info says I'll have.
Hitting save gets me to a windows downloads box on my machine. If I double click on the download and then hit run I get (quickly) a box telling me "Adobe flash player uninstaller setup: complete.
Hitting more info tells me the deleted file = C:/users/my name/Appdata/local/temp/flash util.exe

I shut my browser down as requested-when advised. Think it's the only thing that might be using Adobe Flash.

How do I find out what version of Adobe flash I have installed?
What/where is a Windows system tray?

I have Vista and Firefox is the browser.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Add/Remove Programs will tell you which version you have.
