Hello all and thanks in advance for participating in this forum. As the title implies, all of my serch queries result in listings of web pages whose titles seem to agree with my querry but are actually garbage web sites that have nothing to do with my search. This happens when using IE 7.0 and Firefox, and occurs when I search using Google or Yahoo. The only time it doesn't happen is if I search the web using a Google querry from within my Gmail account. My Windows XP/IE is up do date with patches and I run Norton AV and Windows Defender. I have scanned with both, as well as a few other free AV programs from Cnet, but nothing has helped. I have enabled the Windows firewall, which apparently was disabled at some point, not sure how or when. My tech abilities are somewhat mediocre and I am out of ideas. Below is a copy of the dds text file, as per the forum instructions. I will try to attach the other dds file, although I have to figure out how to zip it. Thanks in advance for your help.
